2016 National Toy Hall of Fame Inductees

The National Museum of Play has inducted three new toys to the National Toy Hall of Fame. For 2016, the inductees were:


I find it interesting that Dungeons and Dragons made the list, as I would not normally consider it a “toy”, given the nature of the game. However, there is no doubt the influence this game has had in gaming and pop culture over the past 40+ years. Having dabbled in the game (and it’s variants and imitators) off and on over the years, I’m happy to see it get some love. It now joins the ranks of other inductees like: Scrabble, View-Master, Kite, and the ever-present ball.
