If you find yoursef needing to verify which version of MDAC you have installed on a machine, you can look in the registry for a quick reminder.

To do this, do the following steps.

1. Open the Registry viewer (regedit from the Run window)
2. Navigate to this folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DataAccess
3. Review this key: FullInstallVer

The value of the FullInstallVer key is the currently installed version of MDAC.
