Did your country make the list?

Well, did it? We Americas are making a list and checking it twice – trying to find out who’s naughty or nice… at least, in terms of piracy and all. I mean, we’re all about protecting our money and all.

Anyway, I digress. FoxNews, my news source du jour, reports of the US additions to the Copyright Piracy List. I, for one, have never heard of said list before, but it sounds important. Apparently, if you are on this list, you may not get invited to the World Trade Organization Christmas party this year.

The designations occurred in a report that the administration is required to provide Congress each year highlighting problems American companies are facing around the world with copyright piracy, which they contend is costing them billions of dollars in lost sales annually. “We must defend ideas, inventions and creativity from rip-off artists and thieves,” U.S. Trade Representative Susan C. Schwab said in a statement accompanying this year’s report.

Among the nations on the list, China, Russia, and Thailand. All thieves according the Schwab. And they include our good friends Israel. How interesting…
