Did your country make the list?

Well, did it? We Americas are making a list and checking it twice - trying to find out who’s naughty or nice… at least, in terms of piracy and all. I mean, we’re all about protecting our money and all.

Anyway, I digress. FoxNews, my news source du jour, reports of the US additions to the Copyright Piracy List. I, for one, have never heard of said list before, but it sounds important. Apparently, if you are on this list, you may not get invited to the World Trade Organization Christmas party this year. (more…)

Does anyone else smell irony?

I read this article about the Microsoft today and couldn’t get past the irony of Microsoft “asking the DoJ to investigate Google… for possible antitrust violations”.

From the article:

The deal would give Google a large network of advertisers and Web publishers to serve and sell ads to, along with boosting the search giant’s banner-ad business, which lags behind a similar service from rival Yahoo.

But then the article ventures into a more interesting battle on the horizon between Google and the Microsoft. That is the online application market. And, I’d agree, that the Microsoft might have cause to be worried.
