I downloaded Contra for XBLA last night. Te game is just like I remember it… online play, notwithstanding. It is a fun game and for 400 points, I couldn’t pass it up.

And, yes… the code that brought cheating to the masses works like a charm.

I’m off to destroy Red Falcon with my 30 lives in tow…

I just saw this nifty little tool put out by Microsoft Labs. It is called PhotoSynth and it looks to do some cool stuff with your photos. This nifty little app will analyze a large set of photos for common points attempt to synthesize a 3-D environment from those photos. So, imagine you have cataloged your trip to your best friend’s condo in the French Riviera and to pictures of absolutely everything and decided, on a whim, that you wanted to take a virtual walkthrough of the condo today… Now, that can be done through the magic brought to you by our friends at Microsoft.
